Lidia Aguilar is a 48-year-old woman from the Plantains Villages. She and her husband have 5 children, two of which currently live with them. “Even though my husband works on the farm, it’s not enough and sometimes we have to search for something to eat.”

Jessy Karolina Reyes Bejarano is 34 years old and lives in the community of Río Chiquito, El Progreso, Yoro. “We have suffered a lot of anguish, grief and impotence… We were in a shelter for almost 3 months where we sometimes ate once or twice a day.”
