Power the Change: Caballo de Piedra’s Dreams
As you may have read in our last blog post, the community of Caballo de Piedra has dreamed of having electricity for a very long time. So much so, that over the past three years, they have come together as a community to save nearly $4,000 (which is 84,000 lempiras)!
This community lives with very basic resources, and endures great difficulty on a day-to-day basis. Families don’t have microwaves or air conditioning – not even fans to keep cool! There is so much they go without simply because there is no electricity in their area. Read more about the community here.
